Network of Networks 4 Democracy | Nets4Dem | Project | Fact Sheet | HORIZON | CORDIS | European Commission

Nets4Dem puts forward a Network of Networks approach to establish and develop a European network of practitioners and researchers in the field of democracy, civic deliberation, participation and citizenship education. The Consortium, brings together widely networked... Nets4Dem will focus its efforts on four main objectives: (1) creating, fostering and sustaining stronger Network of policy makers, practitioners and researchers; (2) systematizing and connecting the fragmented knowledge on democratic innovation and governance research; (3) establishing a coordinated European approach to promote systematic accessibility of democratic innovation; (4) raising the ambition of policy making through policy recommendations to strengthen democracy at all levels of governance. In the ever-changing landscape of European democracy, the lack of effective collaboration and networking among stakeholders remains a significant hurdle. Fragmented knowledge on democratic innovation and governance further exacerbates the challenge, hindering policymakers and practitioners from addressing complex societal issues. In this context, the EU-funded Nets4Dem project introduces a pioneering network of networks approach, aiming to establish a connected European community of democracy practitioners and researchers. By interweaving existing actors and networks in the democracy sector, Nets4Dem aims to capitalise on their strengths while reducing duplication.

4G network reaches 7.6b people as 5G penetration hits 54%

In Nigeria, data from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) showed that 4G network has reached 50.8 per cent of the population, followed by 2G, which covers 38.6 per cent; 3G, 7.38 per cent and 5G, 3.17 per cent in the country. GSMA further disclosed that while almost 150 million additional people were covered by 4G networks for the first time in 2024, the rate of deployment has been slowing over the past few years as operators face diminishing returns on investment. For example, in Sub-Saharan Africa, 3G is still the dominant technology, with only one country (South Africa) currently planning to sunset both its 2G and 3G networks. Sunsets are conditional on enabling spectrum policies and the ability of operators to migrate consumers and businesses to 4G or 5G devices.GSMA noted that LMICs continue to see increased data usage and improvements in network quality, but large gaps persist. It said that with more consumers migrating to 4G and especially 5G, average data traffic per user continues to increase, reaching almost 16 GB per connection per month in 2024.Fourth-generation (4G) technology has emerged as the most dominant network across the globe, with about 7.6 billion people now enjoying the service.

r/techsupport on Reddit: My Ethernet keeps switching to "Network 4" from its given network name and gets super slow

You should be able to view the connections in control panel ("Run" "ncpa.cpl" to access these directly or open via control panel). From here you can check if Network 4 is actually the same connection that is normally named by your SSID.I have seen something as simple as restarting a router or unplugging and plugging an ethernet cable cause a previously recognized network to become unfamiliar and get automatically named Network "n" If I had to guess at something you might be able to fix yourself, your DNS server might be changing. Maybe this leads to different routes being chosen for traffic that result in higher latency. You could set a static DNS server instead of using the automatically assigned one that your ISP uses. Try Google's DNS (8.8.8.8 primary, 4.4.4.4 backup) or OpenDNS (google the IPs to be sure, but I think it's 208.267.222.220 and 208.267.222.222).I just signed up for Verizon's 5G home internet service and it started out great. The wifi has good download speeds in the 1 GBps range and in general, the wireless if fine. My issue is that my PC is connected via an ethernet port and occasionally switches from the network name (we'll call it "Steve") I give it to "Network 4".When I'm gaming, when it shows "Steve" it works totally fine with fairly decent ping in the 50ms range. It will then randomly switch to "Network 4".

Mega Man Battle Network 4 | MMKB | Fandom

After the completion of Battle Network 3, the development team went with another approach to the series.[11] Starting with Battle Network 4, the development team was given direction to evolve the battle system further in order to make multiplayer battles more exciting[12]. When the Battle Network development staff was polled, while the entire staff was satisfied with the game, they considered Battle Network 4 as the toughest one among the games to work on. Apparently it had a tight production schedule. If WoodMan’s Mega Man Battle Network 4: Blue Moon scenario minigame is played on the original Nintendo DS, after exiting a battle, the game will go into extremely low frames per second rate. This glitch was acknowledged by Nintendo[18]. The frame rate will fix itself after MegaMan travels a bit to later sections of the map, until he goes into battle again. In the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, the above are used as examples to the ESRB and bumped the rating up to "E10+"[21] (a new rating established in 2005, after BN4's GBA release). ... ↑ 2.0 2.1 ロックマン エグゼ 4 トーナメント レッドサン | Wii U | 任天堂 (nintendo.co.jp)Story elements from Battle Network 4 were loosely adapted for MegaMan NT Warrior Axess and Rockman EXE Stream anime seasons.

Computer Networking - 4-Layer Internet Model - DEV Community

Introduction Computer network is made up of nodes connected by a link with the nodes being... The largest network is the internet. The internet is pretty ubiquitous these days. Matter of fact, if you’re reading this, it is because of the internet. When you type in google.com or dev.to you are communicating with another computer out there. So how exactly are you doing that? To help us understand, let’s use the 4 layer internet model. The 4 internet layer model is an abridged version of the former Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. You can read more on that but some of the layers have been fused into one to create the 4 layer model which is made up of the application layer, transport layer, internet layer and the network layer. If we don’t get any response, we try a couple of hellos and then hang up if there is still no response or in computer networking lingo, we timeout. Once this is done, a connection is established and data transmission is initiated. During data transfer, TCP breaks down the request into segments then adds numbers to the segments then labels the segments like 1, 2, 3, 4.Introduction Computer network is made up of nodes connected by a link with the nodes being... The 4 different types of wireless networks | TechTarget

Learn about the four different types of wireless networks -- wireless LANs, wireless MANs, wireless PANs and wireless WANs -- and their functions. WWANs are particularly adept at reaching areas wired networks can't. Since WWANs use cellular technologies such as 4G LTE and 5G, they operate using cell towers, which are available nearly everywhere within the U.S.Infrastructure WLANs operate with APs, which broadcast a wireless protocol, such as Wi-Fi. For example, a simple home network design connects a modem to a local service provider's cable or fiber. A wireless router connects to the modem and receives its signal, which it then broadcasts to devices.Wireless metropolitan area networks provide broadband internet access to people across larger areas compared to WLANs. These networks cover up to 50 kilometers -- approximately the size of a city. However, despite its name, a WMAN can also provide coverage to rural areas.Wireless personal area networks cover a limited area -- typically up to 10 meters. It connects individual user devices to each other. WPANs require little infrastructure and often include smaller personal devices.
